Despite referring to herself as a “tomboy” growing up, Hudson accepted the honor, saying: “I was always very girly. I had to be able to twirl so that my underwear showed.”

ANNIE LEIBOVITZ WEIGHS IN ON MILEY CYRUS VANITY FAIR PICS

Considering the fairly random people that have voiced their opinion on Miley Cyrus’ recent rash of racy photos - from Bill O’Reilly to Joe Jonas - it’s nice to hear from someone a bit closer to the situation for a change.
Annie Leibovitz is the woman behind the controversial Vanity Fair photograph that depicts Cyrus topless, albeit covered by a blanket; and she says the image “simple” and “beautiful.”
“I’m sorry that my portrait of Miley has been misinterpreted,” Leibovitz said in a statement issued Monday. “Miley and I looked at fashion photographs together and we discussed the picture in that context before we shot it. The photograph is a simple, classic portrait, shot with very little makeup, and I think it is very beautiful.”
It’s also inappropriate for a 15-year old Disney star. But that’s something Miley’s parents and handlers should have been aware of long before this scandal spiraled out of control. Unless…

cCARMEN ELECTRA SPEAKS ON ROB PATTERSON ,MARRIAGE

What made the fabulous but romantically-impaired Carmen Electra want to walk down the aisle for a third time with new fiance Rob Patterson?
“We have known each other for a long time — it’s like we’re really good best friends,” Electra told Us Weekly recently in Palm Springs.

Therefore, it wasn’t shocking to find the controversial, racy Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair photo adorning this newspaper’s front page this morning, headlined by:
Miley’s Shame.
The headline of the Post says it all. Here’s the front page of the paper…

We do wonder, however, how long it took editors at this tabloid to decide that this quasi-naked photo of Cyrus deserved top billing over the Roger Clemens-Mindy McCready scandal.
Let’s just say we’d be surprised if tomorrow’s front page story on The New York Post isn’t a shot of these two celebrities, accompanied by the headline:

ROGER CLEMENS:MINDY MCCREADY AFFAIR EXPOSED

Baseball star Roger Clemens carried on a decade-long affair with country star Mindy McCready, beginning when she was a 15-year-old aspiring singer performing in a karaoke bar and Clemens was the 28-year-old Boston Red Sox ace and married father of two, according to a shocking report in the New York Daily News.
Vivid details of the affair could surface in several media projects that Mindy McCready is already involved with - including a documentary that begins filming today in Nashville, a new album and a reality show.
McCready, who lives on a quiet, tree-lined street in Nashville, Tenn., is attempting a comeback following a string of legal and personal woes.
Through his attorney Rusty Hardin on Sunday, Roger Clemens confirmed a long-term relationship but denied that it was of a sexual nature.
“He flatly denies having had any kind of an inappropriate relationship with her,” Hardin told the Daily News. “He’s considered her a close family friend… He has never had a sexual relationship with her.”
The revelations could torpedo claims of an “unsullied character” that are central to the defamation suit Clemens filed January 6 against his former personal trainer Brian McNamee, who accuses him of steroid use.
Rusty Hardin said the Rocket’s wife, Debbie Clemens , knew Mindy McCready and that the singer had traveled on his plane.
From a PR standpoint, Clemens’ decision to file the suit against McNamee the night the Rocket appeared with Mike Wallace on 60 Minutes could end up being the biggest risk he has taken yet in a bid to clear his name.
Under investigation for perjury, Roger Clemens already endured the ignominy of publicly throwing his wife under the bus - saying she took human growth hormone (HGH) - as well as having photos of bloody gauze and needles linked to him and undergoing scrutiny of an alleged injection-site abscess on his buttocks.

MILEY CYRUS APLOGIZES FOR LEWD PHOTOS

Miley Cyrus has finally spoken out about a series of inappropriate photos that have been leaked around the Internet. She even referenced an upcoming Vanity Fair photo shoot that is likely to cause a stir when that publication hits newsstands.
“My goal in my music and my acting is always to make people happy. For Vanity Fair, I was so honored and thrilled to work with [photographer Annie Liebovitz],” Cyrus told PEOPLE MAGAZINE. I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed.”

The teen sensation added:
“The pictures of me on the Internet were silly, inappropriate shots. I appreciate all the support of my fans, and hope they understand that along the way I am going to make mistakes and I am not perfect. I never intended for any of this to happen and I am truly sorry if I have disappointed anyone.”

The former Baywatch babe was briefly married to NBA stud Dennis Rodman, and most recently to Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro. So it’s no surprise that her current fiancé is a rock guitarist as well.

His name is Rob Patterson, and he’s the touring guitarist for the group Korn. And it sounds like Patterson made Carmen’s 36th birthday one to remember.

THE HILLS AWKWARDNESS HALL OF FAME MOMENT

Monday night’s all-new episode of The Hills provided some seriously awkward moments - even by the MTV reality show’s lofty standards.
It was supposed to be a regular night out in Hollywood - but everyone goes to Goa on Thursdays, remember. Lauren Conrad should have known better.
When LC got up a drink, she surely wasn’t expecting her two least favorite people to have invaded her table when she came to sit back down …

Justin-Bobby Brescia and Heidi Montag both happened to be at the club - and came over to see Audrina Patridge (who arrived with roommate LC) at almost exactly the same time. Awkwardness is a way of life on The Hills.
When Lauren Conrad returned from the bar and saw her least favorite life forms both chatting up Audrina, she sat at the other end of the table, acting like a bit of a drama queen and bitching to Stephanie Pratt about the suckiness of it all.
It was so painful to watch, yet we couldn’t look away. Ah, The Hills.
Eventually, LC decided she couldn’t deal anymore and made a break for it, grabbing trusty sidekick Lauren Bosworth (Lo) in the process.

TILA TEQUILA DESCRIBES HER PERFECT MAN. OR WOMAN

The second season of A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila will have “a lot more drama” than the original. So says the bisexual at the center of this reality show.
What else did Tila Tequila have to say about her taste in men and/or women?

This Elizabeth Hurley photoshoot just looks weird if you ask me. Why all the airbrushing? She looks as if she is made of plastic. Now for the absolutely amazing part. Aside for the CGE, this is one bad a%$ 42 year old. How on earth does she keep looking so fit? She looks 22 years old in this picture.
Shooting bikinis is now my life, which as you can imagine is unmitigated hell. But if you signed on for the gig, sadly, you have to go and be jolly in a skimpy white bikini. So now I rely on nice photographers and a certain amount of retouching.
I don’t mind if you want to make me a bit thinner and a bit younger. We all like to get rid of spots and shadows under our eyes. But I’ve always been quite particular I don’t like my face to be retouched.
Everytime I download my holiday snaps I go over them....
